Verifying Your Identity

Grainlify uses a quick identity check (KYC — "know your customer") to confirm real people are behind the accounts earning and receiving rewards.

Why it matters​

  • It's one of the two things that place you in a Founding Contributor Pool wave — the other is an approved social follow proof. You're given a wave and multiplier when you've done both, in the order people complete the second one, and those waves close for good once full.

    Verifying on its own doesn't put you in the pool

    Verifying without an approved follow proof gets you no wave, and a wave held without one pays nothing when the pool is shared out. If you've already verified, check Settings → Rewards — it shows your position and whether you're eligible.

  • It's what makes a referral count — when someone you referred verifies, that's the moment your shares are recorded.

  • It's expected before any payout, since payouts send real USDC to a real wallet.

  • A verified badge shows on your public profile as a trust signal to maintainers and other contributors.

How to verify​

  1. Go to Settings → Billing Profiles and create a profile — today this is Individual only (self-employed and organization profiles are coming soon).
  2. Click Verify KYC.
  3. Complete the verification steps in the window that opens — you'll need a photo ID and a quick face match.
  4. Come back to Grainlify and your status will update automatically once it's done (this usually takes a few minutes).

Your status will show as pending, in review, verified, or, if something didn't go through, rejected — in which case you can simply try again.

Verification is instant to start, not instant to finish

Opening the verification window and submitting your ID takes a couple of minutes. The status update back on Grainlify (pending → verified) can lag slightly behind — if it's not showing as verified right after you finish, give it a few minutes before trying again.

Identity verification is handled by Didit, Grainlify's verification partner; Grainlify stores your resulting status and the identity details needed for payouts, not your raw ID photos.
